About the Founder

“The Apology Project”, was founded by Joe Baker, a convicted felon in TN.

Joe has been incarcerated for 20+ years for Murder & Armed Robbery. While incarcerated he has worked as an office clerk, teacher’s aide, and Chaplain’s Aide. He also received his Associates Degree in Business Management from Ashworth University.

Joe set out on a journey to find a responsible, respectable, and non-intrusive way to apologize to the victims of his crimes.  What he found were roadblocks that discouraged or prevented him from doing so. It occurred to him to create a website that would allow him and other inmates to apologize to the victims of their crimes.

Joe will use 10% of his proceeds made from this endeavor to establish a trust fund account for the victims of his crimes.

About the Website

Joe Baker, a convicted felon in TN, as an avenue, created “The Apology Project” for him and other felons to apologize to the victims of their crimes.

It is not the intention of Joe Baker to re-victimize his victims or any other victims of crime.  Rather, it is his intentions to nurture a path of reconciliation, rehabilitation, and restitution.
